I'm active in a few blogs, but of late, I've grown tired of it. Haven't had much meaningful things to write about until now. My thoughts are directed toward one lovely woman I've met on the blogs. From her writings, she's intelligent, funny, articulate, conversant on many topics...she appears very well read. I've never met her in real life, but would like to someday. Having moved to SD, I'm forced to go out and try to meet new people. This is not a chore when I say "forced to", but lately due to my self-employment situation, the work has consumed many hours of my time preventing me from be more social. I just wonder if the grass was greener on the other side when I was working for an employer. Having worked for the large corporations for my entire career, this was a good time in my life to make a drastic career change. No regrets, but it's getting more challenging and the trade-offs are becoming more questionable.
I went to the beach yesterday to think about my goals for 2008. I think I need a balance between work and meeting a companion, I am a social person who needs the affections of an intelligent caring woman.

Missing friends and family
The holiday season is in full swing, but why do I feel a bit down these days? Getting settled down in SD has been both exhilarating and depressing. I just loved traveling to a new destination and seeking out places that I haven't been to. But, it would be nice to share my experiences with someone. I'm a bit down today being by myself, feeling a wee bit lonely. I haven't been blogging much over the past 2 months, maybe nothing to write about, or taking a reprieve from writing. My last several posts have been blah blah's, much ado bout nothing. Very boring. Depressed......................... :(

Settling down, New home
This year has been very busy: searching for a new home in a great place where there's a lot of sun, getting the old home ready for sale, travelling to the Far East, decompressing, resigning from a job with benefits to self-employment with no benefits. But, the good news was that 2007 was a very profitable year, rich in change, life style, friends, outlook, perspectives, etc.
I still have to travel back to MA to close the loop on the house when it's sold. It's been a tough year in the real estate market. I've had offers but much less than what I've asked for. I wont settle for less than I want, I can take my time until the market gets better. The advantage is that the mortgage has been paid off.
I've decided to take the day off today and head to the beach, find a secluded area and read a good book. I need to find a bookstore first...that's the first adventure.

Taking the summer off for travel and adventure
The time has come to pickup and move west to San Diego. Yup, I've left my job and will seek out a self-employment in technical consulting when I get settled in my new home. But, before I move, I'm getting ready for my Far East trip to China, Singapore, Thailand, and possibly Japan (on my own). Japan is the only part of my trip that isn't part of the travel group I'll be with. Very excited to travel for 5 weeks and think about a new home when I return tot he States. When time permits, I'll blog when I can. The Internet will be accessible no matter where I am. Blogging in China might be an issue, but we'll see if we can. Hopefully the computers wont display Chinese characters on the monitors!

Time to Enjoy the Summer
Well, I've made a decision to leave my current job and take the summer off. Yea, it's crazy to give up a steady job with benefits, but the time is right. With my trips to San Diego and a planned trip to China and southeast Asia in August, I need to relax and get some things wrapped up with the house. The real estate market has cooled but prices are more realistic, way too overinflated the past 5-6 years. I'll get a decent offer since it's close enough to the water, and a buyer with a boat has 3 marinas to choose from. I'll miss this area, but looking forward to another water view on the west coast.
I'm free in June, and so much to do. Home maintenance has gotten to be bit much and very little time. Tradesman are asking too much money for small jobs, and most likely, I'm not going to get the satisfaction by having someone else do it. Maybe I'm to crtitical, but I'll do a better job. For now, perseverance and focus will be keys to getting things done quickly. Well, time for a break. Stephanie just arrived. Off to a night of blues at the local smokey cafe.

Tantalizing - good clean sexy fun
Periodically, I like to visit the Jib Jab site. Usually you can find very funny stuff. There's one category that called Sexy Funny, or something like that. There's one short video clip that's hillarious. It's called Tantalizing. There's a hot looking guy washing the window of a women's solon. Women are getting their hair attended to. As the guy is wiping the soap off the window with a squeegee, it's done in such a way that all you see is his top half, no shirt; then he wipes the lower glass, no pant legs showing. The camera turns to the women watching this tease, showing how inthralled they are with this sexy guy. The video shot of these women are perfect. You can see their lust and sensuousness developing in their eyes. You have to wonder what they're thinking at that time, and I bet it's naughty as they fantasize. At the end, he fianlly wipes the last of the soap off the windows, and with one last swipe of the squeegee, there's a shot of him wearing just shorts. The camera pans back to the women who just smile. It was a very sexy, and well done, clip.

Go West Young Man
As I plan to move to the west coast, there are many things that I need to wrap up here. One of which is my job situation. Yes, I'm planning to resign soon and take the summer off. Planning to relax and enjoy the time off. When I get back from my Far East trip at the end of the summer, I'll then resurrect my consulting company and plan to work my tail off. Looking foward to the freedom and flexibility away from the corporate life. The non-profit that I currently work at isn't run like a large company, but it's still rife with political intrigue. What employer isn't? Company politics isn't my thing. I wont play the game. Self-employment at this time in my life is right, it feels the right thing to do. So, I have to determine when I'm going to resign, then the summer belongs to me, YEA!!!
